Release went out Thursday with no rollback
Sprint retros that end with a plan.
Retroloop is a live board for sprint retrospectives. Your team writes cards at the same time, votes on what matters most, and leaves with action points everyone can see.
How a retro runs
Five steps, one board. Create a board, share its link, and the host moves the team through them.
-
1
Write
Everyone adds cards to Went well, Need to improve and Action points at the same time. Other people's cards stay blurred for now.
-
2
Reveal
The host reveals the board and every card appears at once.
-
3
Group
Drag cards that say the same thing onto each other so they become one topic.
-
4
Vote
Each person spends a fixed number of votes on the topics they want to talk about.
-
5
Discuss
Close voting and each column sorts itself, most voted first. Work down the list and agree on action points.
Next sprint, start a new board and go round again.
What's on the board
Built for the retro itself, so there's little to set up and nothing to learn before the meeting.
-
Live for everyone
Cards, votes, groups and the timer update on every screen as they happen. Nobody has to refresh.
-
Blurred until the reveal
Other people's cards stay blurred while everyone writes, so the first ideas don't steer the rest.
-
Drag to group
Drop a card onto another to group them. Drag it back out to split it off again.
-
A vote budget
The host sets how many votes each person gets, from 1 to 20. A group's votes add up.
-
Ranked when voting closes
Each column reorders from most to least voted, so the discussion starts with what matters most.
-
Shared timer
Start a 1, 3, 5, 10 or 15 minute countdown that everyone sees tick down.
-
Invite with a link
The board's address is the invite. Anyone who opens it and signs in joins the board.
-
Encrypted at rest
Card text, GIFs and board names are encrypted in the database, and the keys are kept apart from it.
-
Host controls
The host reveals cards, opens and closes voting, renames the board and removes cards.
-
GIFs on cards
Search GIPHY from any card and add a GIF when words aren't enough.
-
Sign in with Google
Create an account with email and a password, or continue with your Google account.
-
On any screen
Works on laptops and phones, installs as an app, and follows your light or dark setting.
Questions
Something else? Email contact@retroloop.app.
Do teammates need an account?
Yes. Share the board link, and anyone who opens it can sign up or sign in and join straight away.
Can other people read my cards before the reveal?
On their screens your cards are blurred until the host reveals the board. The blur is there to stop the team anchoring on the first cards, not to keep secrets: the text still reaches their browsers, so leave anything confidential off the board.
Who can change the board?
The person who creates a board is its host. Everyone can add, edit and delete their own cards, group cards and vote. The host also controls the reveal, voting, the timer and the board's settings.
How do I delete my data?
Delete your account from your account settings. Your cards and votes are deleted with it. Boards you host pass to another member, or are deleted if nobody else is on them.
